Eoligarry Airport is arguably one of the best take off, and landings in the world. Its truly unique, boasting the only scheduled daily flight that uses a beach for its runway. It attracts tourists from all over the globe, who feel they have to tick it off their bucket list. Flights have been landing the beach (Traigh Mhor) for a little over 80 years.
The Airport is located adjacent to Compton Mackenzies house, where it is rumoured he penned his classic comedy novel, "Whiskey Galore"
